Italian InLine Cup 2009 |
Sportitalia S.r.l., with Registered Offices in Via 2 Giugno, 27/A, Imola, Italy, promotes and organises the Italian InLine Cup for the 2009 calendar year, representing the Italian circuit of inline marathons, valid for the Powerslide CUP 2009 award. |

The following categories are admitted to the event:
• Senior;
• Junior;
• Colts (It.“Allievi");
• Master;
• Amateurs – Fitness;
• Skiroll;
divided between Women and Men.

Participants |
The event is open to everybody, both athletes and non-athletes.
Athletes must be registered with Clubs affiliated with the Italian Federation (FIHP), or with International Federations, for registration in the competitive categories. The Clubs can register an unlimited number of athletes, men and women, for every category admitted, provided they are up to date with the 2009 membership.
Registered athletes participating in the competition will be required to wear the race uniform and the technical supports permitted by the FIRS International Regulations for 2009. Use of the cardiofrequencymeter is permitted.
ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR THE MANDATORY PROTECTIVE HELMET, WHICH MUST BE WORN BOTH DURING THE RACE AND DURING THE WARM-UP PHASE.
NORMAL PROTECTIVE DEVICES READILY AVAILABLE ON THE MARKET ARE PERMITTED, FOR EXAMPLE: ELBOW-PROTECTIONS, KNEE-PROTECTIONS, WRIST-PROTECTIONS, ETC.

Race numbers |
2 numbers will be assigned to each athlete, to be worn as follows:
• 1 number sized 20x15 cm, to be applied on the right buttock;
• 1 number sized 20x15 cm, to be applied on the left buttock.
The numbers will have to be completely flat and must not be folded in any way.

Race Locations
|
The Italian InLine Cup is based on races which will be organised on road closed tracks or on courses with the arrival and departure points in different locations.
The races may be held on completely flat tracks, or on tracks with changes in elevation.

Orders of arrival |
The orders of arrival will be prepared by the Jury appointed by the competent CTA FIHP body; electronic chips and TV cameras will be used in all the stages of the marathon circuit, to establish the time and the classification results, and to ensure the correct order of arrival is recorded.
Maximum time to complete the race: 2 hours and 30 minutes.

|
The following points will be assigned to each individual stage, based on the order of arrival detected, as specified in article 6 of these Regulations.

Athletes that fail to cross the arrival line will not be given any score.
In the case of extraordinary circumstances which prevent a sporting event being held, and as regards a possible event to be rescheduled at a later date, the organisation body reserves the right to assign a one-off score, corresponding to 20 points, to athletes that have proved they were present by signing a special form, for the purposes of the category general ranking and the absolute general ranking.

Category General Ranking for Men and Women
|
Athletes participating in the stages of the Italian InLine Cup will be assigned the scores indicated in Article 7 above, for each stage, based on the result achieved.
The category general ranking will be prepared based on the sum of the scores obtained in each race. The corresponding scores will be published on the official website: www.sportitaliasrl.com.

Absolute General Ranking for Men and Women
|
The absolute general ranking, valid for the following categories: Junior and Senior – Men and Women, will be prepared based on the sum of the scores obtained in each stage, considering the athletes according to their order of arrival in a single category, whether referred to Junior or Senior. The scores assigned are as indicated in Article 7 above. This ranking will be published on the official website: www.sportitaliasrl.com.

Mr. Paolo Marcelloni (paolo.marcelloni@sportitaliasrl.com) is the Race Manager and is responsible for ensuring that the whole cycle of sporting events is organised and held correctly.

The first 3 classified in the following categories: COLTS, AMATEURS, MASTER and SKIROLL will be awarded a prize in kind.
Other prizes in kind, if applicable, will be notified in advance by the management.
Registered athletes are required to attend the award ceremonies wearing the race uniform (bodysuit, or equivalent t-shirt, or the club’s uniform) and skates. Furthermore, athletes are required to wear the race number (20x15) on the front of their left leg. Athletes may also wear or bring with them the technical items to meet the requirements arising from commercial and promotional agreements or contracts they entered into.
PRIZES FOR ATHELES THAT DO NOT ATTEND THE AWARD CEREMONY PERSONALLY WILL NOT BE GIVEN TO THIRD PARTIES AND WILL BE CONFISCATED BY THE ORGANISATION.
ATHLETES ENTITLED TO RECEIVE CASHPRIZES WILL BE REQUIRED TO PRESENT AN IDENTITY DOCUMENT AND TAX CODE.

The first 3 classified athletes will be awarded prizes in kind, for the following categories: COLTS, JUNIORS, AMATEURS, MASTER and SKIROLL.
When the score obtained ends in a draw, the athlete that satisfies the following conditions, in the order shown, will be awarded the prize as the best classified athlete:
1) has taken part to the greatest number of stages;
2) is present in the last stage;
3) achieved the best placing in the last stage.

Other Awards |
Furthermore, the organisation team reserves the right to award prizes in kind or cash prizes, in the case of flying or intermediate finishes.
The athletes will be informed of all the prizes to be won before the race starts.

Press Conferences Interwiews |
Athletes may be requested to give brief interviews to newspapers, radio or television broadcasting stations during the accrediting stage. Athletes will be required to wear the race uniform or equivalent clothing in these cases; on this occasion, pictures may be taken for newspapers and to prepare other promotional material.
Athletes who are awarded prizes or, however, ranking in the first 5 places of the temporary general classification will be expected to remain at the arrival point for not less then 60 minutes after the end of the race, to give interviews and/or press conferences, as applicable. In this case, pictures may be taken for newspapers or to prepare other promotional material. A specially prepared area will be indicated for this purpose. Athletes will be required to wear the clothing indicated in Articles 11 and 12 above, during the interviews or the press conferences. |

Athletes Behaviour |
All participants will be required to observe principles of fairplay and sportsmanship towards competitors, the general public, the jury, institutions, etc., throughout the event.
Sportitalia reserves the right to take disciplinary action towards athletes that fail to respect such principles, also assessing a possible exclusion from subsequent races in the Italian InLine Cup.

Registrations and Fees |
The ordinary registration fee for all categories admitted to the event is the following:
Single event registration:
- within 10 days prior to the single event: € 20.00;
- within 1 day prior to the single event: € 40.00;
- on the same day of the event € 50.00.
Registrations to the single event (MARATHON) must be received by Sportitalia by using the on-line registration facility provided on the official website www.sportitaliasrl.com.
General registration:
athletes registering within 15/03/2009 for all the stages of the Italian complete marathon circuit will be required to pay an overall total of € 110.00.

Sportitalia will transmit the registration to the single events directly to the Clubs organising the same.
Registrations are to be UNDERSTOOD AS ACCEPTED when the organisation has received the following information:
participant’s name and surname;
sex;
date of birth;
address;
e-mail;
mobile phone number;
respective category (if registered);
respective Club (if registered; participants who are not registered will be listed as independent);
federal registration card number (if registered);
power of attorney from the respective Club (only for registered athletes);
stage in which the athlete intends to participate (indicating the date and location);
copy of a medical certificate (in the case of NON REGISTERED athletes belonging to the fitness category);
copy of the bank transfer / post office receipt / on-line payment by credit card or POS, to certify payment has been made.

Cancellations |
Cancellations are not allowed and prepaid registration fees will not be refunded.

Accreditations and Confirmation |
Confirming athletes on the race field is not a foreseen procedure.
The race numbers will be provided by the organisation team until 1 hour and 30 minutes prior to the start. Each athlete will be responsible for applying the race numbers correctly. Free passes will be supplied to eligible persons, to permit entry to any areas reserved to athletes.
A copy of the page confirming registration will be requested, together with a copy of the registration payment confirmation (bank transfer or e-mail confirming that payment has been made by credit card), when the race numbers are collected. |

Caution Deposit |
A 10.00 Euro caution deposit will be required per athlete for each race, when the race number and the electronic chip are collected.
This deposit will be refunded at the end of the event, when delivering the chip to the stand designated to collect chips and numbers.

Start Procedure |
A special warm-up zone will be set up in the immediate vicinity of the start line.
The start will follow the procedure described below:
- participants will be notified 10 minutes before the start; they must stay in the immediate vicinity, to enable the jury to carry out a possible check of the athletes’ numbers, as well as of the mechanical means and the protection devices;
- participants will be notified 5 minutes before the start;
- the starting grid will be organised according to the table below:

The distances and the start areas will be communicated in the specific programme for each single race.
Once athletes have entered the respective start areas, they will not be allowed to exit these areas for any reason whatsoever, under penalty of being disqualified from the individual event.
The start judge will inform the forerunners of the imminent start, so that they can have enough time to verify that the track is completely clear.
Any transfers with skates from the meeting point to the starting point will be specifically notified in the programme of the individual events. |

CAUSES NOT DEPENDING ON THE ORGANIZATION TEAM
(RESERVES)
|
The event will take place in all weather conditions, provided this does not cause a hazardous situation for the participants. If the individual event does not take place for causes not depending on the organisation team, the organisation reserves the right:
a) to indicate a new date on which to perform the individual event;
b) to cancel the individual event, without re-scheduling it.
The registration fee will not be refunded in both cases. Please, refer to point 7 (scores) as regards the classification.

Logistic and Information |
A general information brochure will be prepared, to provide information concerning the complete marathon circuit.
An information office will be available at each stage, where information can be received directly from the organising team regarding the subsequent stages.
The information relating to all the individual races will be detailed on the Internet website www.sportitaliasrl.com, which will also include a multimedial presentation that contains information concerning the race track, the estimated run times, the signals to mark any dangerous points, assistance points, refreshment stands, banners, parking spaces, etc.
Furthermore, information will be provided regarding the race track, with details of the services supplied and their corresponding location; altimetric information will also be provided for the sloped tracks.
Information regarding the associated hotels will also always be provided.
Start
The start area will have a public address service, to ensure that the steps necessary to line-up the athletes are carried out correctly. If necessary, the start area will be cordoned off, to contain the athletes and the general public.
Arrival
The final straight will be a minimum of 120 metres, in the case of stages where the arrival point is level, to allow the group to have a comfortable final sprint. A safety exit will always be available, to provide the athletes with the necessary deceleration phase.
The final straight will have a cross-section of at least 7 metres.
The arrival line will be coloured white and will be sized 5 centimetres.
The last 50 metres of the final straight and the first 30 metres of the deceleration area will be cordoned off on both sides.
The athletes “village” will be set-up in the arrival area; furthermore, the timing service based on an electronic chip will be present, with the immediate display of the time that has elapsed from the start; the public address service will ensure the running commentary of the race in progress, music and entertainment for the general public present.
Services
The following services will be ensured at each stage:
timing by electronic chip;
in-race refreshments with mineral water in plastic bottles;
refreshments at arrival;
photo reportage during the race and in the start and arrival areas;
service/duty bus (not provided for the closed-track races);
athletes transfer service to the start areas (where necessary);
baggage transfer service to the arrival areas (where necessary);
athletes changing room;
toilets in the meeting point and arrival area;
medical service, with 2 ambulances and 1 doctor;
signs indicating bottlenecks, dangerous bends, difficult uphill and downhill sections, parking areas, etc.;
soft protective covering over obstacles in areas considered dangerous for the athletes;
two OFFICIAL TV cameras will be positioned, to support the judges’ decisions, one TV camera to film the arrival and one TV camera to film the final sprint;
the stages with downhill sections considered dangerous will be covered with carpeting, to slow down the speed.

Antidoping Tests |
Athletes may be subject to antidoping tests, which will be carried out immediately after the arrival, in accordance with International provisions. Athletes that fail to undergo the antidoping test or are positive to the test will not be able to participate in subsequent races of the Italian InLine Cup marathon circuit. |

Liability |
The individual events have been approved previously by the Italian Hockey and Skating Federation (FIHP), that has considered them properly organised and useful in developing the roller skating movement in general.
The race tracks have been designed to ensure the highest safety standards for the athletes. The most dangerous points have been marked and, where necessary, guarded by the organisation’s staff.
The participants declare they are aware that the practice of the roller-skating, as well as the Skiroll, may be dangerous and can cause serious accidents and, in extreme cases, death.
In any case, the organisation is exempted from all liability due to accidents that may happen to athletes participating in the sporting event.
Furthermore, the organisation shall not be held responsible for any thefts, losses or damage which may occur to participants’ equipment prior, during and after the sporting event.

Regulations Applied |
Reference shall be made to the provisions set out in the FIRS and FIHP regulations which discipline races and championships applicable to International races, for all aspects that have not been considered in these regulations.
Official announcements will be communicated in Italian.

Claims
|
Any claims may be submitted by means of the procedures as prescribed by the applied regulations.
Claims, notifications and even simple suggestions regarding the complete marathon circuit must be submitted in writing directly to Mr. Paolo Marcelloni, Race Manager of the sporting events, c/o the information office of Sportitalia. The organisation undertakes to reply within a maximum of 7 days from the date the communication is received. A special reference webmail box is also available: reclami@sportitaliasrl.com.

Image Rights |
| When registering, all athletes expressly authorise the use of all pictures which are taken of them throughout the entire sporting event. The pictures may be used for promotional purposes, published on the Internet website, in the local, national and International press, in trade magazines and in other mass-media. Furthermore, the pictures may be sold to third parties. |

Privacy |
After registration, Sportitalia is expressly authorised to process the athletes’ personal data, as per Article 11 of Law No. 675/96, Sub-section d), Article 1; the personal data may be processed automatically on an individual basis or in batch mode. Furthermore, Sportitalia may transfer the information received to third parties, where such third parties are European Union residents or residents of Non-European Union Member Countries. Interpretations
|
The original Italian version will always be considered legally binding, in the event of discrepancies between the original Italian version of these regulations and the versions of the same regulations translated into other languages.

Jurisdiction |
The Court of Bologna is elected as the Court having exclusive jurisdiction. |
