Italian InLine Cup 2008

For the year 2008, “Sportitalia SRL”, with registered office in Imola, Italy, via 2 Giugno 27/A, promotes and organizes the “Italian InLine Cup”, the Italian Circuit for in-line marathons, valid for the “Powerslide CUP 2008” award

Participants

The event is open to everybody.
For registration to the competitive-spirit categories the athletes must be registered with Societies affiliate FIHP or International Federations, whose can register an unlimited number of athletes, men and women for every category listed, as long as in order with the 2008 membership.

The athletes attending the competition must wear the race uniform and the technical supports admitted by the International Regulation FIRS for the year 2008. It admitted the use of the cardiofrequencymeter.

IT IS COMPULSORY FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS TO WEAR THE PROTECTIVE HELMET, WHICH MUST BE USED DURING THE RACE AS WELL AS DURING THE WARM-UP TIME.
ITEMS SUCH AS: ELBOW-PROTECTIONS, KNEES-PROTECTIONS, WRIST-PROTECTIONS, ETC. WILL BE ALLOWED, PROVIDED THE SAME DO NOT RESULT DANGEROUS FOR THE OTHER ATHLETES ATTENDING THE RACE.

Competition numbers

A total of 3 numbers will be assigned to each athlete, each one having different dimensions to be wear as follows:

  • 2 numbers having dimensions 20x50 cm, to be applied on the back or on the outer side of the thigh (wherever indicated by the umpire prior to start);
  • 1 number having dimensions 10x20 cm to be applied on the front of the left leg.

The numbers will have to be completely flat and they will not be folded in any way.

Races Locations

The “Italian InLine Cup”  is articulated in races that will run on city tracks or on in line tracks with arrival and departure in different locations.
The races may be executed on completely flat tracks, or with altimetric variations.

Arrival List

The orders of arrival will be drafted by the Jury appointed by the competent body C.T.A. F.I.H.P; the recording of the correct order of arrival is guaranted by the electronic chips employed on all circuit laps, as time and results data collector.

The following points will be assigned to each individual lap depending on the order of arrival detected as specified in article 5 of the present Regulation.

The athletes that will not pass through the arrival line will not receive any score.

In case of extraordinary events the may prevent the performance of the contest and in consideration of its eventual posponement, the organization body may decide to assign to the athletes whose presence is certified by the subscription of a special form, a bonus of 20 points to the purpose of the general final results, as well as for the category results.

The partecipants to the laps of the Italian InLine Cup will get the scores as indicated in art. 7 above.

The Category results will be drafted adding the points acquired each lap. The same will be edited on the official website www.sportitaliasrl.com

The general list, valid for the follwing categories: Junior and Senior, Men & Women, will be drafted adding the scores acquired in each lap, considering the arrival order of the athletes  as a single category, junior or senior independently.

For the categories: ALLIEVI, AMATORI, MASTER, SKIROLL, only the first 3 classified will be awarded a prize in kind.

For the FITNESS category, prizes in kind will be assigned by drawing the racing numbers

Other eventual prizes in kind will be informed by the management.

The athletes shall withdraw the awards wearing the race uniform (body, or t-shirt, or club’s uniform) and the skaters. Furthermore, they shall wear the race number (10x12 cm) on the front of their left leg. The athletes may also wear or bring with them the technical items object of commercial agreements undertaken.

THE AWARDS SHALL BE GIVEN EXCLUSIVELY TO THE ATHLETES PERSONALLY AND THEY SHALL NOT BE GIVEN TO THIRD PARTY. IF NOT WITHDRAW BY THE ATHLETES, THE PRIZES WILL BE TAKEN IN BY THE MANAGEMENT.

THE ATHLETES ENTITLED OF CASHPRIZES WILL HAVE TO SHOW THEIR IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENT AND RELEVANT FISCAL CODE.

In case of equal score acquired, it will be awarded as the best classified athlete  the one that:

  1. Has taken part to the larger number of laps.
  2. Is present to the last lap.
  3. Has acquired the best position in the last lap.

Other Awards

It will be awarded the largest “FITNESS” group, with at least 10 athletes enrolled.

The Organization team furthermore reserves the rights to award with prizes in kind or with expenses cash return eventual flying or intermediate finishes.

The athletes will be informed of the list of prizes prior to the race start.

Press Conferences  Interwiews

At accrediting stage, the athletes may be required to release brief interviews to newspapers, radio or television broadcasting stations. In such cases, the athletes shall wear the race uniform or equal wear; also, pictures may be taken for magazines and promotional material.
 
The athletes awarded or anyway resulting in the first 5 places of the temporary general list  must be available at the arrrival for not less then 60 minutes from the end of the race for eventual interviews and/or press conferences. In such circumstance, pictures may be taken for magazines or for other promotional material. A special set-up zone will be indicated to the purpose. During the interviews or press conferences the athletes must be dressed as indicated in articles 11 and 12 above.

Athletes Behavior

All partecipants must observe, for the whole time of the event, the principles of honesty and fairplay towards competitors, audience, jury, istitutions, etc.
“Sportitalia” reserves the rights to take disciplinary actions towards those who won’t respect such principles, evaluating also an eventual exclusion from the follwing races of the Italian InLine Cup.

Registration and Fees

The ordinary registration fee for all admitted categories is the following:
Registration single event:

within 1 day prior to the single event: € 30,00

on same day of the event € 40,00
The registration to the single event (MARATHON) must be submitted ON LINE to Sportitalia Srl”,  using the form on the official website www.sportitaliasrl.com

The power of proxy of the registered athletes must be sent to the organization team within the day before the beginning of the event.
General subscription:
The athletes that will registered within March 3, 2007 to all the laps of the Italian Marathon Circuit, must pay 110,00 euro altogheter.

Sportitalia srl will take care of transmitting the subscription to the single events directly to the organizing teams of such events.

The registrations WILL BE INTENDED ACCEPTED when the organization team will receive the following information:

  • Name and surname of the participant
  • sex
  • date of birth
  • address
  • e-mail
  • cellular phone number
  • Belonging category (if registered)
  • Belonging club (if registered. Those not registered will be listed as independent)
  • Federal card number (if registered)
  • Power of proxy from the belonging club (only for the registered athletes)
  • Lap to which the athletes will partecipate (indicating date and location)
  • Copy of the health certificate (only of the NON REGISTERED athletes belonging to the “Fitness” category
  • Copy of the bank transfer / post receipt / credit card or POS on-line payment, to certify the effected payment.

Cancellations

Cancellations are not allowed, the registration fess will not be refunded.

Accredits and Confirmation

The athletes will not be confirmed on the race field.

The confirmation will have to be sent via fax to the organization team within the day before the beginning of the event.
The race numbers will be handed by the organization team until 1h.30m prior to the start. It will be athletes’s care to apply the race numbers correctly. To allow entry into eventual athletes reserved areas, special badges will be delivered.

Guarantee Deposit

A 10,00 euro deposit for each race will be required by the atlete when withdrawing the race number and the electronic chip.
Such deposit will be refunded at the end of the event , delivering the chip to the purposely set-up stand.

Start Procedure

A special warm-up zone will be set up nearby.

The start will have the following procedure: 

The participants will be notified the 10 MINUTES TO START and they must be standing nearby so that the jury may carry out an eventual control on the number/athletes correspondance, on the suitability of the mechanical means and of the protection devices.

The 5 MINUTES TO START will be notified.

The distances and the start areas will be communicated in the specific program of each single lap.
The athletes will not be allowed to exit from the respective start zones once entered,
otherwise they will be squalified from the single event.
The umpire will inform the forerunners of the imminent start, so that they can verify the suitability of the track.
The starting will be in sequence, as per tables above.
Eventual transfers with the skates from the meeting point to the starting point will be specifically informed in the program of the single event.

CAUSES NOT DEPENDING ON THE ORGANIZATION TEAM
(RESERVES)

The sporting event will take place under any weather conditions, unless the same cause dangerous situation for the participants. If, for causes not depending from the organization team, the sporting event could not take place, the same organization reserves the right to:

  1. indicate a new date in which perform the single event;
  2. cancel the single event, without re-scheduling it.

In both cases the subscription fees will not refunded.

As far as the classific is concerned, see point 7 above “Scores”

Logistic and Information

An information manual will be prepared with all information concerning the whole Marathon circuit.

There will be an information office at each lap, where the organizing team will be able to give information directly on the subsequent laps.

The information related to each single race will be detailed on the website www.sportitaliasrl.com, where it will be inserted also a multimedial presentation on the race tracks, the estimate run times, the signals regarding eventual dangerous points, assistance points, refreshment stands, banners, parking lots, etc.
Furthermore, there will be information regarding the race track with the indication of the services supplied and their relevant location; there will be also an altimetric presentation for the sloped tracks.
Also, indications on the arranged hotels will be always available.

START

The start area will be fitted with amplifier service to ensure the correct carrying out of the necessary steps to line-up the athletes. If necessary, such area will be cordoned off to contain athletes and audience.

Group’ Suite

The athletes’s suite  will be the following:
Police or Carabinieri escorts
Forerunner Car
Empire’s Motorcicle
Motorcicles for empires, photographers, cameraman, accredited reporters;
Ambulance nr. 1
Endrunner car
Ambulance nr. 2 endrunner
Service/Duty bus (when necessary)

Arrival

The laps having a level arrival, the final straight will be minimum 120 meters to allow the group final spurt and it will always be available a safety exit to grant the necessary deceleration phase to the athletes.
The final straight will have a section of minimum 7 meters.
The arrival band will be of white color and will measure 5 cm.

The last 50 meters of the final straight will be cordoned off on both sides. Also the first 30 meters of the deceleration area will be cordoned off.

In the arrival area the “Village” will be set-up. Furthermore, there will be the timing service by the electronic chip, with the immediate visualization of the time spent from the start time; the amplification service will grant the running commentary of the race in progress, plus music and entertainment for the audience.

SET-UP SERVICES;

The following services will be granted at each lap:

  • timing by electronic chip;
  • Refreshments with plastic bottle mineral water;
  • Refreshments at the arrival with mineral water, iced tea, hot tea, local typical food;
  • Photo reportage during race and in the start and arrival areas;
  • Service/duty bus (not provided for the circuit laps)
  • Athletes transfers to the start areas (when necessary)
  • Baggage transfers to the arrival areas (when necessary)
  • Athletes changing rooms;
  • Toilets in the meeting point and arrival area
  • Medical service with 2 ambulances and 1 doctor
  • Signs indicating bottlenecks, dangerous bends, difficult up & down tracks, parking lots, etc.
  • Soft protection for the obstacles considered dangerous for the athletes;
  • To support the arbitrary decisions there will be positioned two OFFICAL video cameras, one for the arrival record and one for the final rush record.
The laps having downhills considered dangerous will be covered, on spot,  with carpets to slow down the speed.

Antidoping Test

As per international dispositions, the athletes may be subject to antidoping tests that will be effected immediately after the arrival. The athletes that will refuse to undergo or result positive to the test cannot participate to the next laps of the Italian InLine Cup circuit.

Liability

The single events have been previously approved by the Federazione Italiana Hockey e Pattinaggio, and they have been considered properly organized and useful lto the development of the “on-wheel movement” in general.

The race tracks have been studied to grant the best safety standards to the athletes. The most dangerous points have been indicated and where necessary, guarded by the organization staff.
           
The participants are aware that the practice of the roller-skating as well as of the skiroll, may be not only dangerous but also cause serious accidents and in the estreme cases, death.

In any case, the organization is exempted from any liability due to events that may happen to the athletes engaged in the sporting event.

Furthermore, the organization will not be held responsible for eventual robberies, loss, damages that may happen to the participants’s equipment prior, during and after the sporting event.

Applied Rules

For what not considered in the present regulation, the rules indicated in the FIRS and F.I.H.P. Race and Championships directions for the international races will be applied.

The official announces will be given in Italian language.

Claim

Eventual claims may be processed following the procedures indicated by the applied regulation.

Eventual claim, reports, or simple suggestions regarding the full circuit must be sent, in writing, directly to the manager of the sporting event Mr. Paolo Marcelloni, c/o the information office Sportitalia. The organization commits to reply within max 7 days from the receipt of the same. A webmail: reclami@sportitaliasrl.com is also available.

Image's Right

By subscription, the athletes give express authorization to use all pictures taken during the whole time of the sporting event. The pictures could be used for promotional purposes, edited on the internet, on the local, national, international press, on specialized magazines and on other mass-media. Furthermore, the pictures may be sold to third party.

Privacy

By subscription express authorization is given to Sportitalia Srl to treat the personal data as per art. 11 of Law 675/96 point d) art. 1; the personal information could be treated automatically alone or as a group.
Furthermore Sportitalia srl could hand over the information received to third party, these being EC residents or belonging to Countries outside the European Community.

Interpretations

In case of discrepancies between the original version in Italian language of the present regulation and the versions of the same translated in other languages, the  only reliable version will be always be the Italian one.

Competent Court

The Court of Bologna, Italy, is the exclusive competent Court.
